FOR CLIENTS:

At ChamberlainD’Amanda, Judge Michael Miller uses the experience and knowledge gained from his tenure as a Family Court judge to advise and consult with clients and members of the firm’s Family Law Department on complex, difficult, and emotional domestic matters. As a former judge, he is particularly skilled in preparing clients for courtroom appearances and in analyzing potential trial outcomes.

Prior to joining our firm, Michael was elected to a 10-year term on the Monroe County Family Court (after being appointed to fill a vacancy by Governor Mario Cuomo). During his time as a judge, Michael wrote more than 20 published decisions, including Matter of Angelica C., which resulted in a major change in New York State’s Child Abuse Law.

He has also served as councilman for the Town of Brighton and as chair
of the Monroe County Democratic Party. He has written numerous
articles on local government and advocated extensively for the rights
of disabled citizens.

EDUCATION:

Michael graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in political science. He received a J.D. from Syracuse in 1963.
