FOR CLIENTS:

Matt became associated with our firm in 1988, and was named a partner in 1994.
As a member of our Labor Services Group, Matt:

  • • Represents union and individual clients in a variety of employment- related matters, including SocialSecurity, civil service disputes, employment discrimination, and employee benefits claims
  • • Attends hearings before arbitrators and at the State Division of Human Rights, the National Labor Relations Board, the Public Employees Relations Board, and the New York State Retirement System
  • • Tries cases in federal and state court in employment-related matters
  • • Consults with individual, union, and pension fund clients

Matt works on federal court procedural questions. In recent years, he has served as counsel on several large securities fraud cases, the Global Crossing case, RICO cases, and other commercial litigation. Prior to ChamberlainD’Amanda, he was a confidential law clerk to Federal District Judge Michael A. Telesca, and a union official while working in industry.

EDUCATION:

Matt graduated cum laude from Denison University in 1970 and was awarded Woodrow Wilson and Danforth fellowships. He attended SUNY Buffalo Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1986.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS:

Matt received the Max Koren Award as first in his law school class. He also has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Labor & Employment Law since 1997.
