FOR COMMUNITY
As a member of the firm’s Family Law Department, Alex concentrates his practice in matrimonial and family law. He counsels his clients on separation, divorce, custody, custodial relocation, child support, adoption, parental kidnapping, premarital agreements, postmarital agreements, and equitable distribution of property issues, such as business interests, stock options, professional licenses, pensions, and profit sharing plans. Alex has substantial litigation and trial experience in the Family and Supreme Courts and has briefed and argued appeals in the Fourth Department of the Appellate Division.
Alex also represents clients in
Collaborative
Family Law matters, which are ways of resolving family disputes without going to court.

- • New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section)
He is also involved in the New York State Law Guardian program and serves as a law guardian in Family Court matters. |
FOR COMMUNITY
Alex was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and is fluent in Russian. Locally, he works with Russian and Ukrainian immigrants, and is involved with several community organizations.
He is also active in the Union College
Alumni Association and Alumni
Recruiting Network. In that role, he helps raise funds and interview
prospective students interested in Union College. He also volunteers
with Jewish Family Services of
Rochester and the Volunteer Legal
Services Project. As a result of his involvement with the Volunteer Legal Services Project, Alex received the
William E. McKnight Volunteer
Service Award in 2000. |
